Frank, tell us about Electro Care and what makes the company stand out in Denmark.

“Electro Care is one of Denmark’s largest electromechanical and pump service companies today. Our primary market is in Eastern Denmark, particularly Zealand, where we operate three branches. With 39 employees, we’re one of the larger companies within River Group.”

“Before we joined River Group in 2018, our growth was driven by a mix of organic expansion and the acquisition of smaller companies. But in Denmark, we don’t call them competitors; we refer to them as colleagues. It’s a small industry, and everyone knows each other, which makes our approach to growth—through these smaller acquisitions—feel very natural. It’s been a good and secure way to grow, bringing skilled people into the fold who we already know and trust.”

A Natural Fit: The PM Elektro Acquisition

The acquisition of PM Elektro was a strategic move to integrate a trusted partner into their operations. With Per Madsen stepping down at 70, the long-standing relationship made PM Elektro a natural fit. This acquisition focused on respectful growth, not aggressive expansion. To maintain the personal touch, they transitioned PM Elektro’s operations to their Copenhagen branch, just three kilometres away, ensuring continued customer care.

What’s next for Electro Care? Where do you see the company heading?

“We’re in a perfect place right now. The market in Denmark is strong, and all three of River Group’s companies here – Electro Care, Elektro Performance, and Elmodan – are growing rapidly. We’ve benefited greatly from the changes and collaborations within River Group, especially with the significant transformation at Elmodan.”

“As for what’s next, we’re looking for more opportunities like PM Elektro. The beauty of being part of River Group is how straightforward things are regarding acquisitions. There’s no stress, no complications – just a positive, ‘let’s make it happen’ attitude. That’s incredibly refreshing and makes it easy for us to keep moving forward.”
