When Andreas Emanuel joined Alther in September 2022 as Geschäftsführer, the company was at a crossroads. By January 2024, he had taken full responsibility, bringing industry expertise from Xylem Water Solutions and a clear vision for the future. His approach? Modernization, smarter decision-making, and a focus on quality. The results speak for themselves—Alther has strengthened its reputation, improved efficiency, and deepened customer relationships.

A New Way of Working

One of Andreas’ key initiatives was shifting decision-making closer to the projects and customers. Instead of centralizing authority, he empowered his management team to take ownership. “The best decisions happen where they have the most impact. By decentralizing, we’ve improved efficiency, strengthened customer relationships, and created a more engaged team,” Andreas explains.

He also introduced smarter financial tracking, implemented a new ERP system, and improved forecasting. These changes have made Alther more agile and better prepared for market shifts.

Building a Stronger Team

Every transformation comes with challenges. Andreas had to restructure teams and establish a leadership culture built on trust. “Clear communication was essential. We had to ensure everyone understood the vision and felt valued in the process,” he says.

To foster engagement, Alther focused on training, clear guidelines, and encouraging accountability. The result? A team that feels ownership over their work—and customers who notice the difference.

We’ve come a long way, but this is just the beginning. The momentum is strong, and we’re ready to build on it.

Milestones and Customer Recognition

Key steps in Alther’s transformation include:

• Implementing the M-Soft ERP system for better workflow management

• Hiring a strategic procurement expert

• A new tax consultancy for streamlined finances

Customers have taken notice. Many are returning, citing Alther’s commitment to quality and reliability. “We’ve raised the bar, and our clients appreciate it,” Andreas says.

Future Growth and Expansion

With the turnaround complete, Alther is looking ahead. Plans include expanding into pump sales, repairs, and wastewater treatment equipment—potentially moving into the drinking water sector.

“We’ve come a long way, but this is just the beginning. The momentum is strong, and we’re ready to build on it,” Andreas reflects with a smile.
