Pump och Vattenteknik AB is entering an exciting new chapter with Nicklas Segerhav as its new Managing Director, supported by Emil Comet, the company’s long-standing force in sales and former Managing Director. Together, they are poised to take the company to new heights. We sat down with Nicklas to hear more about his vision for the future and the company’s growth plans.

Nicklas Segerhav began his journey with Pump och Vattenteknik on August 1st, but his experience in the industry dates back to 2004. At 51 years old, Nicklas’s career began far from the water services industry, rooted in farming. However, over the last 16 years, he has become deeply involved in water and wastewater services. Outside of his professional life, Nicklas enjoys motorcycling and boating.

Nicklas is particularly drawn to smaller companies where he can take a hands-on approach and make swift decisions, which attracted him to the River Group. He tells us that groups, which comprise smaller companies with the backing of a larger organization, offer the perfect blend of autonomy and security that he values.

Tell us about your ambitions for Pump och Vattenteknik?

“My goal is for us to become a well-known and trusted partner on the West Coast of Sweden. I want us to be a one-stop shop— where customers know they can call us to solve all their needs. We’re focusing on renovating pump stations and expanding our presence in this segment. There’s a huge market out there, and we’re on solid ground. While it might take time to establish ourselves fully, I’m confident next year will be a big growth year for us.”

How do you believe you will reach these goals?

“Having River Group behind us is like having a safety net. Some people ask why we don’t just go it alone, but that’s the beauty of River Group—you get the autonomy of running a small business while benefiting from the support of a larger group. It allows us to make better decisions and develop faster without putting all our money on the line. It’s like the Scandinavian model—you have a strong state behind you, which lets you operate more securely and deliver higher quality.”

Nicklas is quick to highlight that he is not taking on these ambitions alone. Emil Comet, who led the company for two years as Managing Director, continues to play a key role as the driving force behind the company’s sales. Together, Nicklas and Emil form a dynamic duo, ensuring the company is well-positioned for future growth.

As we wrapped up our conversation, it became clear that Pump och Vattenteknik has big plans for the future. We’ll check back in with them in a year—because while growth takes time, there are plenty of exciting developments on the horizon. Stay tuned!
